Longhouse is an annual programme of work carried out by community arts organisation, Multistory. Multistory is based in West Bromwich and their work focuses on bringing together communities and artists to develop creative solutions to local problems and tackle a wide range of social issues.

Longhouse is dedicated to the professional development of artists working in the public realm. It provides knowledge, support and funding to artists by offering a range of professional development opportunities; these include seminars, forums, site-specific learning, case studies and action research. Such opportunities allow the artists to develop their skills and broaden their understanding of working in the public realm, with particular focus on socially engaged practice.

This website acts as a professional development resource for artists working in the public realm by showing examples of good practice, news and opportunities from across the UK and internationally as well as information on Longhouse’s Annual Programme. The site also includes a Networks page which signposts artists to other interesting and useful organisations which could aid their professional development.
