My work is concerned with the relationship between the surrounding environment, myself and others. There is not only the present but the past which is of interest and how the two may often be linked. I aim not to give a broad perspective, but to focus on the personal stories that lie behind each image. There are stories hidden within the further landscapes and in the streets and buildings of our towns.

It is important to allow the viewer the freedom to search the stories themselves by not showing the subject in the work directly, hoping that this process may lead them to relate the story to their own situations.
