Rachel Grant is a textile/mixed media artist whose work explores the link between inheritance and identity. Sometimes this is examined in a very personal, autobiographical manner, other times within a wider community context, particularly in relation to Stoke-on-Trent where she lives and works.
Rachel’s practice has evolved alongside the programme of regeneration in the city and this is evident within her work.

Some of the projects Rachel has been involved in are the Longhouse Action Research Commissions 06/07, the Longhouse P.A.D residency 07 and the Place Space and Identity Programme of commissions 07/08 which was funded by Arts Council England and Renew North Staffordshire.
